Jean Claude Aurel, Jr., ASP, CSP, TSSP, WSO-CSSD

President & CEO

Jean Claude has more than 20 years of diverse system safety, engineering, and auditing experience on several heavy, light, and commuter rail mass transit projects, as well as bus and ferry projects throughout North America. Prior to founding TSSS, he was VP of System Safety & Risk Management at HRT. He also served in various roles at Houston METRO and CTA. Jean Claude is a member of APTA, ASSE, WSO, BCSP, NSC, AREMA, NSBE, and ASHRAE.

Rachel Deen, MSIT-PMP, LLM

Chief of Staff & Technology

Rachel is an IT professional with more than 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cyber security. She has mastered technologies from operating systems to security; assessed system susceptibility and suggested security enhancements; and instigated top-tier security processes and incident response policies to guard against burgeoning cyber risks. Rachel is a member of APTA’s Enterprise Cyber Security Working Group.

Sebastian Dragu

Chief Safety Officer

Sebastian brings more than 40 years of multidisciplinary experience in bus and rail transit safety and security, electrical engineering, fire protection, plan development, system integration, and commissioning in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Prior to TSSS, he held management positions at Toronto Transit Commission, Parsons Brinckerhoff Halsall (now WSP), and CTA. Sebastian set rail transit standards as a member of APTA’s Rail Standards Policy & Planning Committee.
